Antarktika bölgesinden gelen sinyaller her zaman DX avcılarının ilgisini çekmiştir. Bu yıl dikkat çeken aktivitelerden biri de HF0PAS çağrı işaretidir. İstasyon, Polonya Antarktika Araştırma Programı kapsamında görev yapan Rafal (SQ4O) tarafından Güney Shetland Adaları üzerindeki Henryk Arctowski Araştırma İstasyonu'ndan aktif edilmektedir. Operasyonun Mayıs-Ekim 2026 döneminde sürmesi planlanmaktadır.
King George Adası, amatör telsiz dünyasında oldukça ilgi gören IOTA AN-010 referansına sahiptir. HF0PAS özellikle SSB, CW ve 6 metre FT8 modlarında faaliyet göstermekte olup, Antarktika istasyonlarını loglarında eksik bulunduran operatörler için önemli bir fırsat sunmaktadır.
Türkiye ile Antarktika arasındaki uzun mesafeli yol nedeniyle propagasyon pencereleri sınırlıdır. Özellikle 20m ve 17m bantlarında gün doğumu ve gün batımı dönemlerinde gri hat avantajı oluşabilmektedir. Güneş aktivitesinin uygun olduğu günlerde 15m bandında da başarılı bağlantılar gerçekleştirilebilir.
HF0PAS'in zaman zaman CW ve FT8 kullanması, zayıf sinyallerin değerlendirilmesi açısından önemli avantaj sağlamaktadır. Dijital mod kullanıcılarının PSK Reporter ve DX Cluster sistemlerini takip etmeleri tavsiye edilir.

Cluster kayıtları HF0PAS'in 15 metre bandında aktif olduğunu göstermektedir.
HF0PAS, Türkiye'den çalışılabilecek ancak sabır gerektiren bir istasyondur. Özellikle 20m CW ve FT8 aktiviteleri başarı şansını artırmaktadır. 15m bandı açık olduğunda sinyaller beklenenden daha güçlü alınabilmektedir.
Antarktika'dan gelen bu değerli aktiviteyi loglarına eklemek isteyen tüm amatör telsizcilere başarılar dileriz.
