10 Haziran 2026 tarihinde saat 15:20 itibarıyla okulumuz tarafından bir adet Pico Balon başarıyla havaya bırakılmıştır. Amatör telsiz faaliyetleri kapsamında gerçekleştirilen bu çalışma, öğrencilerimize uzay ve haberleşme teknolojileri konusunda uygulamalı deneyim kazandırmayı amaçlamaktadır.
Pico balonlar, genellikle 9.000 ila 10.000 metre irtifalarda atmosferin üst katmanlarında hareket ederek Dünya çevresinde uzun süre dolaşabilen özel platformlardır.
Balon üzerinde bulunan LoRa APRS modülü, ihtiyaç duyduğu enerjiyi gündüz saatlerinde güneş panelinden sağlamaktadır. Sistem belirli aralıklarla yayın yaparak konum bilgisini ve çeşitli telemetri verilerini amatör telsiz istasyonlarına göndermektedir.
Pico balon projeleri, düşük maliyetli olmalarına rağmen yüksek irtifalarda uzun süre görev yapabilmeleri nedeniyle uzay ve atmosfer araştırmalarına yönelik önemli eğitim platformları olarak kabul edilmektedir.
11 Haziran 2026 sabahı itibarıyla balonumuz Türkiye'yi batıdan doğuya başarıyla kat etmiş ve Rusya sınırına yakın bölgelerden yaklaşık 2.180 metre irtifadan sinyal göndermeyi başarmıştır.
YM2XBL-12 çağrı işaretli pico balonumuzun dünya üzerindeki yolculuğu amatör telsiz camiası ve öğrencilerimiz tarafından büyük bir heyecanla takip edilmektedir.
